What is your current job title? Or, what are you currently working on? I am the Manager of Environmental Attributes at Montauk Renewables. I oversee the compliance and generation of state and federal renewable energy credits from our production of renewable natural gas as vehicle fuel.
Share a special memory of your time at Vinton-Shellsburg? The experiences through the fine arts programs, most notably piano accompaniment, were a defining part of my time at Vinton-Shellsburg. I will always cherish it, and still, continue to accompany to this day!
Describe how your time at Vinton-Shellsburg has impacted your career/life in a positive way. Mr. Patterson’s high school chemistry class, hands down. It not only help to prepare me for an aggressive college education in science but also established the fundamentals of my analytical skillset that are imperative in my career.
What advice would you give students who are interested in going into a field similar? Work hard, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. It is easy to feel intimidated, but don’t let the fear stop you.
