Share a special memory of your time at Vinton-Shellsburg? I was an exchange student at VSHS for the 2018-2019 school year. It was the best experience of my life and I cannot be enough thankful to everyone that helped me to create the best memories ever. It’s really hard to choose only one memory, but I definitely loved playing sports in Vinton. I remember all the practices, games and bus rides and each of them was special in their own way, no matter if it was for football, basketball or soccer.
Describe how your time at Vinton-Shellsburg has impacted your career/life in a positive way. The experience at Vinton-Shellsburg made me more open-minded and adaptable. I really loved going to school here. It helped me to appreciate the opportunities I have and to work hard for my dreams.
What advice would you give students who are interested in going into a field similar? If you enjoy math, programming or are just curious to learn what’s “behind the scenes” of the softwares you use daily, I advise you to follow this path. Don’t be scared, just dive deep into this world. And don’t forget, if you like this technical area, it doesn’t mean you cannot be a well-rounded person – you can as well love arts, sports or whatever else makes you happy also.
